JESE improves learning environments by promoting safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in schools. We support the construction and rehabilitation of sanitation facilities, provision of safe drinking water, menstrual hygiene management, and hygiene education to create healthy, inclusive and child-friendly learning environments that improve attendance and educational outcomes.

Healthy catchments are essential for sustainable water resources and resilient ecosystems. JESE works with communities, local governments and stakeholders to restore and protect riverbanks, wetlands and watersheds through reforestation, riparian buffer restoration, soil and water conservation, and sustainable land management.
