Tuhairwe Gertrude is an experienced social scientist with fourteen years in community based development with special focus on human rights, gender mainstreaming, and child protection. She is currently the Community Development Officer at Kamwenge District Local Government.
She holds a Masters degree in Management Studies from Uganda Management Institute, a Certificate in Administrative Law from Law Development Centre, a Post graduate diploma in Public Administration and Management from Uganda Management Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, Kampala.
With her in-depth knowledge and experience in community development work in decentralized systems, she is an expert for improved service delivery, community participation and sustainability of projects and programs both at local and national level. Due to her multifarious work experience in the non-profit arena including UNICEF, SUNRISE, AFRICARE, SDS and UNHCR, JESE is truly honored to have such a creative and innovative board member with outstanding competences in establishing and maintaining public-private sector partnerships that will deliver exceptional results.
